paving hard the winding road
falling from the sky
sunk within the mud
caked with eons of neglect
indestructible
solid through all time
withstanding infinity
hey look a rock slide
weathered into dust
compacted within the earth
now made whole again
melted in the earth
churning up through gaian crusts
freezing into stone
tiny grains of sand
look down now beneath your hooves
everything is rock

Blegh, been in such a rut lately, that's why no new art. Been trying to fight my way out, but it's easier said than done. In the meantime have some rock-based haiku written for EQD's flash poetry response to today's episode. Sorta counts, right?
